FAQ
Purity & Quality Testing
Do your compounds come with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?
Yes. Every batch of NueCog research compounds is independently tested by an accredited third-party laboratory. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming identity, purity, and absence of common contaminants is available for each product. You can find the relevant CoA linked on each product page, or request a copy by contacting us directly.
What purity levels do your compounds meet?
Our compounds are manufactured to a minimum of 98% purity unless otherwise stated on the product page. Third-party HPLC and/or LC-MS analysis is used to verify each batch before it is made available for purchase.
Who carries out the third-party testing?
We work with independent, ISO-accredited analytical laboratories. Testing is conducted on every new batch — we do not rely solely on supplier certificates. Results are batch-specific and traceable.
Storage & Handling
How should I store my NueCog compounds?
Storage conditions vary by compound and are specified on each product page and its accompanying CoA. As a general guide:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Many peptide-based compounds benefit from storage at 2–8 °C (refrigerated) when opened, or at −20 °C for longer-term archiving.
- Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use.
- Always refer to the specific product guidance for precise conditions.
Should I avoid exposing compounds to light or heat?
Yes. Exposure to UV light, high temperatures, or humidity can degrade certain compounds over time. We recommend storing all materials in their original opaque containers and keeping them away from heat sources.
How should I handle compounds safely?
All NueCog compounds are supplied strictly for in vitro research and laboratory use. Appropriate laboratory safety precautions — including the use of suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) — should be observed at all times in accordance with your institution's health and safety guidelines and the relevant Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
Shelf Life & Stability
What is the shelf life of NueCog compounds?
Shelf life is batch-specific and is stated on both the product label and the CoA. Typical shelf life ranges from 12 to 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored under the recommended conditions. Stability can be shortened by repeated freeze-thaw cycles, exposure to moisture, or improper storage.
How can I tell if a compound has degraded?
Visual indicators — such as discolouration, clumping, or unusual odour — may suggest degradation, although some changes are not visible to the naked eye. For critical research applications, we recommend verifying purity at your own facility if a compound is approaching or past its stated shelf life.
